Product #1 : Garcinia Cambogia
Garcinia Cambogia supplements made its debut on the Dr. Oz show in late 2013.
Grown in South Asia, India, and central Africa, Garcinia Cambogia was traditionally used to add a sour flavor to popular curries and soups.
The tart taste is caused by the high levels of Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA).
Hydroxycitric acid has the ability to block the absorption of fat by inhibiting the formation of the enzyme "Citrate Lyase". Citrate Lyase is a necessary component for changing carbohydrates into fat.
So basically, hydroxycitric acid keeps citrate lyase from creating more stubborn fat.
The overall benefits of the Garcinia Cambogia supplements include:
- Energy booster
- Appetite suppressant
- Stress reducer
- Natural blood sugar, cholesterol, and fat regulator
Side effects can include:
- Dry mouth
The recommended dosage of Garcinia Cambogia supplements is 1,500 mg/day. With supplements containing 60% Hydroxycitric acid, that’s 900mg/day of HCA added to your diet.
Make sure to drink plenty of water and consult your primary physician before taking Garcinia Cambogia supplements.
Product #2 : Green Coffee Bean
Dr. Oz reviewed the Green Coffee Bean on his show in September 2012. Green Coffee Beans are the seeds from a fruit called Coffee Cherries.
Inside the tiny Green Coffee Beans, there’s an antioxidant called Chlorogenic Acid. Chlorogenic Acid makes up a good 6.5% of the seeds composition. This acid provides the green coffee extract its weight loss and liver cleansing abilities.
Chlorogenic acid reduces the body’s absorption of excess carbohydrates.
Chlorogenic acid helps to lower the amount of carbohydrates being absorbed, turned into glucose, and then stored as fat. It’s basically its own low carb diet.
Also, the caffeine in Green Coffee Beans is believed to boost the metabolism. A study conducted in 2012 by the Department of Human Nutrition at Wageningen Agricultural University suggests that caffeine can increase the metabolism by 4% over a 3 hour period.
The overall benefits of Green Coffee Bean Extract include:
- Suppressing the absorption of carbs
- Energy booster
- Reducing gallstones in woman
- Lowering blood pressure
- Improving cholesterol
- Reducing insulin and glucose spikes
- Acting as a natural cleanser
Common side effects can include:
- Increased heart rate
There are no complex side effects from the green coffee extract.
Green Coffee Bean supplements should be taken 3 times a day, 30 minutes before each meal when included in your diet. The recommended dosage of each pill is 400mg.
Again, always make sure to check with your doctor before starting a new weight loss diet. Stay hydrated.

The other half received a placebo.

Tthe researchers concluded that Garcinia Cambogia reduced abdominal fat accumulation.
Another study, conducted in 2000 by the Department of Foods and Nutrition at Purdue University, analyzed the effects that hydroxycitric acid had as an appetite suppressant.
It was a 12 week placebo-controlled study with 89 participants. Forty-two volunteers ingested 400mg of Garcinia Cambogia (1.2g of HCA) two times a day. Forty-seven volunteers ingested placebos.

A published study, created by the ETC Research Development team in Norway, analyzed the effects of chlorogenic acid enriched coffee on glucose absorption.
The team conducted two trials.
In the first trial, 12 healthy volunteers consumed different brands of coffee enriched with chlorogenic acid. The team noticed a 6.5% glucose absorption rate.
The second trial was a 12 week placebo-controlled study that used 30 overweight volunteers.
From this study, the team recorded an average 5.7kg weight loss from the chlorogenic acid group and an average 1.7kg weight loss from the group who was given a placebo.
